Day 1: Train to Congjiang / Drive to Zhaoxing

Upon arrival, to be met with your local guide and driver from Guizhou. Then drive about 20 minutes to Zhaoxing. Overnight at Zhaoxing.

Day 2: Zhaoxing / Rongjiang, 210KM, about 6 hours driving

Morning you will visit the Tang'an Dong Village. You will be deeply impressed by its traditional wooden houses, have a short walking in this primitive village to experience its daily life with very little signs of modern influence. Then head to Basha Miao Village, which is also known as the last gunmen's tribe in China as almost all the adult male villagers have a blunderbuss for hunting. Besides, the male villagers' distinctive hair dresses are reputed as the existing most ancient style in China. Afterwards, drive to visit another settlement of ethnic Dong people – Huanggang Dong Village. Overnight at Rongjiang.

Day 3: Rongjiang / Kail, 260KM, about 5-6 hours driving

Morning head to visit Zenlei Shui village, where can see the representative buildings and costumes of the Shui minority, and still have eight hundred Stilt houses for hundreds of years. Then visit the fantastic Shiqiao Miao Village to see their traditional way of making paper from the tree bark, this skill can be dated back to 1,300 years ago in China. Overnight in Kaili

Day 4: Kaili Sightseeing, 120KM, about 3 hours driving

Morning you will head to visit the fantastic Langde Miao Village to explore the unique village and visit the local families. Langde has strong national culture, it is considered to be the live museum of Miao Culture. This village is surrounded by mountains and rivers and boasts wooden stilt houses, winding mountain paths and well-preserved Wind and Rain Bridge. Afterwards, drive to Datang, the local Miao group is called Mini-skirt Miao because of their short skirts. In the afternoon, take another way back to Kaili, drive up Mt. Leigongshan and visit a remote village called Wudong, where the locals still use water mills. Overnight in Kaili

Day 5: Kaili Sightseeing / Train to other cities

Visit the morning market in Kaili, then head to Matang in the morning, it take a 1.5 hour's drive from Kaili. In Matang you will visit Gejia group who are not listed into 55 minority groups in China just because of their small population.

You will appreciate the traditional Gejia batik in the village and learn the art of batik. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the train station for bullet train to other cities.
