The dragon boat festival falls on the 25th of the fifth lunar month. Different from Han Chinese Dragon Boat festival, Miao Dragon festival focuses on praying for plenty rain for rice fields and other crops. Before the boat race starts, the local boatmen drive their dragon boats(made of a single timber) to visit their relatives of villages on both sides of Qingshuijiang river. Their relatives already prepared 'gifts'(ducks, geeses, pigs, even a young bull) before the boats arrive, and wait for their arrival. These are not just simple gifts, they also symbolize good lucks.

Visit Black Dragon Cave temples on the cliff, and then visit Wuyang scenic spot by cruise. After we finish Wuyang river visit, we will Matang village and see local women making batik on the way back to Kaili.
After breakfast, pay a leisure visit to explore Miao's history and culture in Upper Langde Miao Village, which is considered to be the live museum of Miao Culture. This village is surrounded by mountains and rivers and boasts wooden stilt houses, winding mountain paths, and well-preserved Wind and Rain Bridge. This morning you will have a chance to experience Miao welcoming ceremony.
After Langde village visit, we move to Kaili South Railway Station, the trip ends.
