Xingyi is the capital city of the Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province, situated in the southwestern part of the province at the junction of Guizhou, Yunnan, and Guangxi provinces (regions), enjoying the reputation of "Transport Hub of Three Provinces" and "Key to Qian-Gui". 

Geographical Location: Located at longitude 104°-106° and latitude 25°, with an average altitude of 1,200 meters, it is in the central position among the three provincial capitals of Guiyang, Kunming, and Nanning, and is the fastest-growing and most dynamic central city within a 200-kilometer radius.

Administrative Division: The city has a total area of 2,911 square kilometers, governing 14 towns, 3 townships, and 10 sub-districts.

Population and Ethnic Groups: By the end of 2019, the city's registered population was 928,900, mainly consisting of 35 ethnic groups including Han, Buyi, Miao, Yi, and Hui, with the ethnic minority population accounting for 25.48% of the total population.
